About the role

The Infusion Oncology Pharmacy department at UCLA Health is expanding due to continued growth. We are seeking a Pharmacy Manager – Ambulatory Infusion Operations to provide operational oversight for multiple Ambulatory Infusion Pharmacy sites within an assigned region. This role serves as the Designated Person or Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for assigned locations and ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of IV rooms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of pharmacists and technicians, providing leadership, support, training, and guidance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support the accurate and timely preparation and delivery of medications to patients.
  • Maintain inventory levels of medications and supplies and conduct regular audits and inspections of IV rooms to ensure adherence to regulations and internal standard operating procedures.
  • Address and resolve patient or staff complaints and concerns related to IV room operations while collaborating with other departments and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and resolve operational issues.

Requirements

  • Current California Pharmacist license
  • PharmD degree
  • Ability to serve as a Designated Person and/or Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
  • 1 year Leadership experience
  • 2 years of Sterile Compounding (Hazardous Drugs) experience
  • Ability to set priorities, work independently, maintain confidentiality, and work with sensitive information.
  • Ability to travel between infusion locations for supervision and quality assurance.
  • Proficient in EPIC (preferred)
  • Prior California PIC Experience (preferred)
  • Prior Oncology Experience (preferred)

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards for IV room operations
  • Experience with sterile compounding and hazardous drugs
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Monday–Friday; fully onsite.

Pay

$144,400 – $341,800 (Commensurate with experience and aligned with internal equity)
