Pharmacy Intern PRN
About the Role
Assist in the performance of daily pharmacy tasks including receiving, packaging, preparing and distributing medications, IV admixtures; maintaining records; and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performance of daily pharmacy tasks (procurement, preparation, delivery, return, and restocking of medications)
- Participate in the formulary and inventory management process
- Prepare intravenous admixtures
- Facilitate customer service through communication with both internal staff and external customers
- Responsible for and understand the use of automated pharmacy equipment and software
- Participate and assist with learning activities and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of general pharmacy practices and procedures
- Interpersonal skills when interacting within and outside of the department
- Enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy with a plan to graduate with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree within the next 3-4 years

About the Facility
TriStar Summit is a 234-bed comprehensive facility with a full spectrum of services, including cardiology, emergency, oncology, orthopedics/spine, rehabilitation, and women’s services. As an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and a Primary Stroke Center, TriStar Summit specializes in emergency heart and stroke care. There are more than 300 board-certified physicians representing over 36 specialties on staff, many of whom have offices located on TriStar Summit's campus.
