About the role
The Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator at Mary Immaculate Hospital is responsible for overseeing pharmacy practice programs, medication use systems, and quality initiatives to ensure medication safety and adherence to regulatory standards. This position collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver medication therapy management and integrate pharmaceutical care across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversees medication safety and quality measures in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Promotes safe and cost-effective pharmaceutical care
- Maintains drug utilization and addresses drug shortages
- Develops and maintains relationships with nursing and medical staff for education and departmental goals
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. (required)
- Pharmacy residency (preferred, not required)
- Pharmacist licensure from the State Board of Pharmacy (required)
- BPS board certification (preferred, not required)
- 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience (required)
Qualifications
Knowledge of pharmacy systems and clinical functions and opportunities, leadership, teamwork, communication, and analytical abilities are essential. Must possess skills in these areas to effectively lead and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
