About the Opportunity

The Pharmacy Care Coordinator plays a key role in engaging with patients, providers, pharmacies, and insurance companies to support medication management and adherence. This position contributes to the organization's mission by fostering trust and collaboration across stakeholders, ensuring accurate medication information, and advocating for patient needs.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document medication information in software systems
  • Record Pharmacist interventions accurately
  • Act as liaison between care clinicians and pharmacy teams
  • Collaborate with internal and external departments
  • Support administrative tasks for tracking and reporting metrics
  • Operate effectively in a moderate to fast-paced environment
  • Communicate with patients, providers, and vendors to obtain medication therapy information
  • Participate in medication adherence outreach efforts
  • Utilize pharmacy technology and computer systems to complete pharmacy tasks
  • Apply knowledge of customer service principles and legal regulations related to pharmacy
  • Use logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions and approaches
  • Demonstrate advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Identify process improvement opportunities
  • Manage organization and time efficiently
  • Assist with data management and reporting
  • Update job knowledge through educational opportunities
  • Perform other assigned duties and projects

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in Nevada
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • At least 1 year experience in customer service
  • Familiarity with medical and pharmacy terminology
  • Knowledge of medication therapeutic categories
  • Ability to identify generic and brand name drugs
  • Understanding of medication indications
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows applications

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in hospital, ambulatory care, or healthcare settings
  • Experience in managed care
  • Skilled in conducting patient assessments
  • Ability to manage time and tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work independently

Pay

Hourly pay ranges from $18 to $32 based on full-time employment. Compensation depends on factors such as local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications.
