About the role

The job integrates into the clinical, teaching, research, and distribution systems for UC San Diego Health and the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Activities include profile review, TPN order writing, pharmacokinetics, renal drug dosing, medication reconciliation, chemotherapy order review entry and validation in our Beacon Chemotherapy Electronic Medical Record, precepting pharmacy students from the Skaggs School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, precepting UC San Diego Health PGY1 and PGY2 Pharmacy Residents, and investigational drug support.

Responsibilities

- Provide and document medications and related services to patients according to departmental standards. - Serve as a preceptor to pharmacy residents and students as assigned. - Participate in Medical Center and Departmental committees and promote institution-wide medication use policy.

Requirements

- Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or equivalent clinical experience. - Registered Pharmacist (RPH) issued by the state of California. - Pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical experience.

Qualifications

Less than four (4) years of experience qualifies as Staff Pharmacy I; Four (4) or more years of experience qualifies as Staff Pharmacy II.

Pay

Annual Full Pay Range: $183,138 - $186,834 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $87.71 - $89.48
