Scope of Position

This position supports the Compass Rose module within the Epic electronic medical record.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, maintain, and optimize specialty pharmacy patient management content, including patient enrollments, care plans, clinical assessments, and documentation templates.
  • Partner closely with specialty pharmacy, medication access, and operational stakeholders to support system enhancements, workflow design, user training, and issue resolution.
  • Configure and maintain complex, multi-step order transmittal workflows.
  • Support medication access and specialty pharmacy operations.
  • Provide medication and related system expertise to the development, analysis, and implementation of simple enterprise-wide clinical system projects.
  • Promote cooperation and collaboration with other team members to achieve Department of Pharmacy and OSUWMC enterprise goals.
  • Develop, maintain, and support clinical application systems and automation that pertain to medication management.
  • Be knowledgeable in various aspects of information systems terminology, information system processing, and desktop solutions.
  • Be familiar with OSUWMC pharmacy operations, policies, and procedures, and stay current with developments and issues in the practice of pharmacy.
  • Set priorities and work independently.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture.

Requirements

  • A licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
  • A minimum of four years of professional experience in information technology and/or healthcare.
  • A B.Sc. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD).
  • Post-graduate residency training is preferred.
  • Scholarship and teaching experience will be regarded favorably.

Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in various aspects of information systems terminology, information system processing, and desktop solutions.
  • Familiar with OSUWMC pharmacy operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to set priorities and work independently.
