Job Summary

Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients, and to evaluate their suitability. Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct pharmaceutical care to adult inpatient populations through a rotating day/evening schedule focused primarily on medical and surgical units.
  • Collaborate closely with providers, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and support safe, effective patient care.
  • Support operational and distributive pharmacy functions as needed while promoting evidence-based practice, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and continuity of care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations.
  • Hospital experience or residency preferred.
  • Licenses must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position.
