Pharmaceutical Field Sales Representative
About the role
Inizio Engage is building a nationwide team of field-based Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives. This is an excellent entry-level role in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, dedicated to providing services to Inizio’s client, Pfizer. The main objective is to increase awareness of high/at-risk patient types for COVID-19 through targeted engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs), urgent cares, and retail pharmacies. This is a field-contracted team role reporting to the Area Business Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide priority support to physicians about COVID-19 risk factors, disease progression, and treatment options.
- Educate identified targets to ensure customer preparedness on patient identification.
- Build working relationships with customers through regular calls and ongoing contact as defined in the Field Pharmaceutical Sales Contracted Team Statement of Work (SOW).
- Collaborate closely with customer-facing colleagues to align goals and coordinate efforts across channels and field deployments.
- Assess the customer and market landscape within assigned geographies to prioritize opportunities and develop/implement a local action plan to maximize sales impact.
- Operate in a highly collaborative team environment that encourages idea-sharing.
- Engage HCPs through probing, answering questions (e.g., drug interactions, supply locations, high-risk patient eligibility), and maintaining expert product knowledge.
- Use only approved promotional materials to support marketing messages.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the related disease state, market dynamics, quality programs, health information technology, and care trends to add value during customer interactions.
- Implement a strategic call plan to exceed goals for assigned geographies, tailoring sales approaches based on customer analysis and previous interactions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to prioritize local opportunities and develop strategies for targeted accounts.
- Guide retail pharmacy customer interfaces to further sales efforts.
- Employ effective interaction techniques, including pre-call planning, focused presentations, productive questioning, issue identification, and call summaries.
- Customize sales message delivery to align with known customer needs and share information on approved support resources.
- Complete all call reporting, inventory recording, and compliance responsibilities following current procedures.
- Balance study and certification time during off-territory hours to learn medical, product, and policy information, and maintain supplies, equipment, and records.
- Prepare for and participate in all required sales conferences and training classes at local or remote locations.
- Complete all required compliance training within client-set timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, such as:
- Pharmaceutical Sales Experience.
- Medical/Medical Device Sales Experience.
- Professional Sales or Promotional Activity.
- Small Business Owner or other Entrepreneurial experience.
- Marketing, Customer Service, or Account Management.
- Relevant Healthcare/Scientific roles (e.g., RN, Pharmacist, PT, OT).
- Educator (e.g., Teacher, Principal).
- Full-Time Military experience.
- Must live within 25 miles of the border of the assigned territory.
- Urgent Care setting experience (preferred).
- Willingness to travel.
- Valid US driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $52,000 – $96,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
