Pet Care Specialist for Dog Walking / Pet Sitting Company - Providence RI

About the role

Furry Fellas Pet Service LLC is hiring for an experienced Pet Care Professional to provide dog walking and pet sitting services. The ideal candidate loves dogs and/or cats, enjoys outdoor activities, has reliable transportation, owns a smartphone, and can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Visit client's homes to care for their pets while they are at work or on vacation
• Perform tasks such as walking, exercising dogs, providing bathroom breaks, offering love and attention, feeding, medicating, providing fresh water, cleaning up after animals, litter boxes, etc.
• Leave a note for clients after each visit to inform them about the visit's outcome

Requirements

• Experience with dogs of various sizes and energy levels AND/OR experience with cats/other small animals
• Reliable transportation and own a smartphone
• Good communication skills and customer service skills
• Flexible schedule and available to work at least 1-2 hours during at least 2 of Furry Fellas' 4 visit time windows
• Ability to work Monday through Friday or Saturday and Sunday plus some weekdays

Qualifications

• Experience working/volunteering with animals (dogs/cats, etc.)
• Passion for working with and helping animals

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Experience with dogs and/or cats

Pay

• Paid per visit based on duration and experience

Schedule

• Visit client's homes to care for their pets while they are at work or on vacation
• Visit times: Morning & Afternoon OR Morning & Evening OR Evening & Night
• Visit times: 6-10am, 11-3pm, 4-6pm, 7-9pm
• Minimum availability required is at least an hour during 2 of these time slots
• Service areas can be selected by the candidate
