As a Pest Control Technician, you will serve as a vital subject matter expert, leading client accounts, making independent decisions, and driving tangible results. Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections to determine the source of pest activity and identify pests.
- Select and implement pest control methods, products, and exclusion practices to create a pest-free environment.
- Perform pest treatments and install products as required.
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
- Build relationships with high-profile clients through friendly, helpful, and courteous interactions.
- Listen to client needs, offer solutions, and recommend additional services to address concerns.
- Stay current on industry developments, trends, technology, and regulations.
- Obtain and maintain required federal, state, and local licenses/certifications.
- Participate in continuous learning and development, including business management, time efficiency, and interpersonal skills training.
- Document actions taken and recommendations provided during service visits.
Requirements
- Successfully pass a pre-employment background screen.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and undergo a motor vehicle driving record check.
- Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Client-facing experience preferred.
Skills and Attributes
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using technology in a work environment (e.g., handheld devices, apps, Google Suite including Gmail, Calendar, and Google Drive).
- Willingness to learn and become knowledgeable in pest control.
- Comfortable working independently after a training period.
