Personnel Supervisor II

Job Description and Duties

Effective July 1, 2025, under the direction of the Supervisor I, the Personnel Supervisor II plans, organizes, and directs the work of Senior Personnel Specialists and Personnel Specialists responsible for processing personnel and payroll transactions and administering employee benefits for CCHCS. The incumbent ensures the timely and accurate processing of personnel actions, payroll transactions, leave accounting, and benefit-related activities in accordance with State laws, rules, regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and departmental policies. The Personnel Supervisor II serves as a technical expert on personnel transactions, payroll administration, and employee benefits programs and coordinates with control agencies to resolve complex personnel and payroll matters.

Special Requirements

• Possession of Minimum Qualifications (MQ) will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If you are meeting MQ’s with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification. Official transcripts may be required upon appointment.
• If it is determined an applicant does not meet the MQ’s, the candidate will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position. Candidates who have been withheld may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board.
• Achieving a passing score on the Personnel Supervisor II examination is required to be considered for this position.
