PERSONNEL SUPERVISOR I

CDTFA-administered programs account for about 23% of all state revenue, focusing on sales and use tax, and special taxes and fees.
About the role
Under general direction of the Personnel Supervisor II, the Personnel Supervisor I oversees the effective and efficient operation of the Transactions Section, which supports CDTFA’s personnel transactions programs. This role provides supervision, technical expertise, training, and guidance to a team of 4-6 Personnel Specialists (PS). Responsibilities include directing, planning, organizing, prioritizing, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing staff workload.
The Personnel Supervisor I acts as a liaison with control agencies, applying and interpreting Government Code provisions, collective bargaining agreements, and directives from control agencies.
This classification is eligible for an annual recruitment and retention bonus of $2,400 to $4,800 upon completion of required qualifying pay periods.
This position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California, with schedules subject to change. All telework/hybrid schedules require staff to report to the office a minimum number of days per week.

Requirements
- For classifications where Minimum Qualifications are based on education, applicants must attach transcripts showing completion of required education. Foreign degrees must include verification of U.S. equivalency.
Pay
$5,695.00 - $7,129.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
Schedule
Permanent, full-time. Hybrid work arrangement with a minimum number of in-office days per week, subject to change.
