Personnel Supervisor 1
About the role
The California Conservation Corps (CCC) is looking for a Personnel Supervisor I to lead a team of 5–8 Personnel Specialists and oversee the department’s personnel transactions and payroll operations. You’ll manage daily workflow while ensuring personnel actions are accurate, timely, and compliant with state requirements. You’ll recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff while providing guidance on complex personnel and payroll matters. You’ll also serve as a key resource for field staff and managers, partnering with control agencies and accounting teams to resolve issues and provide technical guidance.
This role involves implementing changes to personnel policies and procedures, preparing reports and reconciliations, and leading special projects that support the department’s workforce and operations. Sacramento-based, permanent full-time position with a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 5–8 Personnel Specialists, overseeing personnel transactions and payroll operations.

Requirements
- Strong knowledge of personnel practices, payroll, transactions, and applicable laws and bargaining-unit requirements.
