Job Description and Duties

The California State Lands Commission’s Human Resources Office is seeking a motivated team member with exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills who is interested in contributing to a friendly, collaborative, and productive work environment. Responsibilities

  • Performs the full range of personnel transaction duties related to appointments and separations, pay, attendance, and benefits.
  • Strictly follows directions and processes.
  • Independently and accurately interprets and applies reference materials and laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Provides excellent customer service, communicates professionally verbally and in writing with clarity and detail.
  • Organizes tasks and prioritizes work.
  • Accurately completes work under strict deadlines.

Qualifications

Performance in this position requires the ability to strictly follow directions and processes; to perform work in a legacy payroll system and work within various software programs; independently and accurately interpret and apply reference materials and laws, rules, and regulations; provide excellent customer service, communicate professionally verbally and in writing with clarity and detail; organize tasks and prioritize work; and accurately complete work under strict deadlines.

Benefits

This position is eligible for the Recruitment and Retention Pay Differential (Pay Diff # 240) of $2400 - $4800 yearly after 12 qualifying pay periods.

Pay

$4,030.00 - $6,488.00/month

Schedule

New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
