Responsibilities
- Work in a team environment with all members of the Personal Insurance department.
- Handle a book of business by building relationships with each account and ensuring efficient and accurate settlement of activities.
- Assist clients with policy changes, renewals, and claims processing.
- Advise clients on the value proposition of comprehensive coverage, focusing on more than just price.
- Conduct coverage and exposure reviews with existing clients to inform and advise on the importance of adequate coverage.
- Call out to new clients within 30-45 days of their new business effective date to make a personal introduction and address any outstanding issues.
- Discuss potential non-renewal issues with management and discuss with carriers for reinstatement or coverage rewriting.
- Quote and issue mid-term rewrites as needed and review renewal increases.
- Contact incumbent carriers for rate relief options and discuss with insureds.
- Contact clients who have cancelled or requested cancellation of their insurance policy to determine reasons and discuss reinstatement options.
- Communicate directly with insurance company underwriters to resolve outstanding or potential issues.
- Document all interactions in the company system for assistance.
- Advise existing clients on preferred premium payment methods and confirm appropriate tasks have been created in the company system.
- Handle routine service matters when necessary, including Carco, insured payments, ID cards, binders, payments, etc.
- Stay informed on important insurance coverage issues and participate in seminars and classes for skills and knowledge development.
- Handle Reg. 34 issues and follow-up with DMV to resolve potential license/suspension issues.
- Communicate with clients throughout the process and meet established metrics/expectations for the position.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, with a College Degree Preferred.
- At least 1-3 years of Insurance Experience, preferred.
- Strong expertise and knowledge in policy coverage and customer service experience.
- Ability to use menu-driven software in addition to Word and Excel.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Cmp: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.

- Comp: Minimum USD $22.60/Hr., Maximum USD $33.93/Hr.
