About the role
We are seeking an experienced Plaintiff's Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team in our Manhattan, NY office.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Plaintiff's Personal Injury cases and be familiar with the legal procedures in New York. The paralegal will play a crucial role in assisting our attorneys in all aspects of personal injury cases. This position will be based full-time in our Manhattan office.
Responsibilities
- Order and review medical records and other relevant documents and summarize them for attorney review.
- Conduct initial client interviews and gather relevant case information while maintaining clear and organized client files.
- Prepare and file complaints, petitions, and other legal documents.
- Complete and submit necessary No-Fault paperwork and applications.
- Draft Bills of Particulars and Settlement Demand packages.
- Handle all case e-filing and CMO calendar management.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Plaintiff's Personal Injury Paralegal in New York.
- Strong understanding of personal injury case procedures, including pre-suit and litigation.
- Familiarity with e-filing on NYSCEF.
- Nice to have: Experience e-filing on PACER.
