About the Role
We’re reinventing our approach to personal injury cases and seeking a top-tier paralegal to join our high-performance pre-litigation/litigation team. Paralegals at our firm are deeply appreciated and play a major role in achieving justice for injured people. You’ll be the client’s first point of contact, providing updates, guidance through medical treatment, reviewing records, liaising with experts, scheduling mediations, and preparing for and attending trials. This role is ideal for organized, driven paralegals who want to make an impact on clients’ lives while helping build a new department.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the client’s first point of contact, answering questions and providing updates.
- Offer guidance through medical treatment and review medical records.
- Liaise with experts and schedule mediations.
- Prepare for and attend trials.
- Think critically and keep cases moving for a wide spectrum of clients.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal in personal injury or a similar field (pre-litigation experience is a plus).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Highly organized, decisive, and able to handle a high volume of work.
- Must be able to work full-time, Monday through Friday, from our downtown Durham, N.C. office and/or Raleigh office (remote work is not available for this role).
