Position Overview

The Personal Injury Paralegal will play a crucial role in assisting our legal team by managing case files, preparing legal documents, and facilitating communication between clients and attorneys.

Requirements

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Document Management: Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and client correspondence.
    • Case File Organization: Maintain and manage active case files to ensure all necessary documentation is available for attorneys and clients.
    • Discovery and Evidence: Assist attorneys in the discovery process, including gathering evidence, summarizing documents, and organizing case-related materials.
    • Client Interaction: Serve as a liaison between clients and attorneys, providing case updates and answering client inquiries with professionalism and compassion.
    • Calendar Management: Track important deadlines and manage the legal calendar for hearings, depositions, and administrative tasks.
    • Trial Preparation: Assist in preparing exhibits and trial materials, ensuring everything is organized and ready before court appearances.
    • Legal Research: Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries or reports as needed by attorneys.
  • Qualifications:

    • Education:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred;
      • Paralegal certification is a plus.
    • Experience:

      • At least 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm is strongly preferred.
    • Skills:

      • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively on multiple assignments at once.
      • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
      • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
      • Team-Oriented: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, showing a strong commitment to client service.
