Overview We are seeing an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all phases of case workups including pre-litigation and litigation. Successful candidates will be proficient in legal software, have excellent communication skills and have a knack for time management. Key Responsibilities Support attorneys in all aspects of litigation from filing of complaint through trial and post-trialDraft, prepare, and file legal documents, including:Complaints, answers, and motionsDiscovery requests and responses (interrogatories, requests for production, etc.)Subpoenas and deposition noticesManage and track litigation deadlines in accordance with Connecticut court rulesCoordinate and schedule depositions, independent medical examinations (IMEs), and court appearancesReview, analyze, and summarize medical records, expert reports, and discovery materialsCommunicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnessesAssist with trial preparation, including:Exhibit preparation and organizationTrial binders and materialsWitness coordinationMaintain accurate and organized case files within LitifyE-file documents in Connecticut state and federal courts Qualifications Bachelor’s degree 5+ years of experience in Personal Injury Proficiency in legal software and legal databases (Litify, eCourts, etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to ethical standards. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies. Relevant understanding of legal research methodologies. Relevant certifications or licenses related to paralegal studies preferred. Compensation Range $75,000—$85,000 USD Compensation: The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
