Personal Care Supervisor (CNA minimum)

About the role

The Personal Care Supervisor under the supervision of the Manager of Home Care, supervises all direct staff in the Adult Day Health Center and the Home Care departments in conformance with policies, procedures, and standards and all governing state and federal regulations. Responsibilities include the planning, coordination, and implementation of the dementia programming for all direct care staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and evaluates the performance of the C.N.A.s, and P.C.A.s.
• Develops and implements policies, procedures and standards for the Adult Day Health Center and Home Care departments.
• Makes changes as needed based on monitoring outcomes.
• Communicates changes to staff.
• Hires candidates through interviews and recommendations.
• Provides orientation, ongoing training and competency evaluations of staff.
• Ensures job responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities are defined and understood.
• Fosters team-building, professional relationships and good communication among staff and other departments.
• Routinely communicates and implements changes in program goals, philosophy and policy to staff.
• Identifies continuing education needs of assigned staff and collaborates with the Center Manager and Clinical Services to address same.
• Aids in the development of organizational staffing patterns and position descriptions for assigned staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Three (3) years’ experience in a geriatric health setting.
• Current certification with appropriate state in which program operates as Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.).
• Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated successful supervisory experience.
• Certification or equivalent experience demonstrating knowledge of comprehensive dementia care.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and means of transportation.
• Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunization before direct participant contact.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and means of transportation.

Qualifications

$59,000-$70,000

Schedule
