CNA Supervisor

About the role

East Troy Manor is seeking a CNA Supervisor to join their team. The CNA Supervisor will demonstrate positive leadership to ensure all CNAs are confident in their role, collaborate with other departments, and provide ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and verify completion of the comprehensive orientation checklist and oversight of newly hired certified nursing assistants.
• Determine additional orientation needs of new hires prior to assigning them.
• Work in partnership with the Director of Nursing to promote best practice care, support continuing education, emotional support, and peer CNA coaching.
• Attend and participate in Quality Improvement programs such as care planning meetings, QAPI, Safety Committee meetings, Weight Committee meetings, Fall Committee meetings, Psychotropic Meetings, and other meetings as assigned.
• Perform daily audits of CNA care and documentation, including peri checks, bathing, transfers, etc.
• Communicate and collaborate with the Director of Nursing to support and facilitate positive workflow and resident outcomes.
• Develop, maintain, and support the nursing assistant schedule.
• Collaborate with Human Resources and the Director of Nursing regarding hiring needs, candidates, and training requirements.
• Support the CNA task force and ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available.
• Assist CNAs on all units as needed.
• Provide positive feedback to CNAs and strategize on teamwork.
• Update various sheets and lists as needed.
• Support residents' ambulation and exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely CNA documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months as a CNA.
