Personal Care Sales Representative - PhibroChem

About the role
This position will be primarily accountable for maintaining business and driving growth for PhibroChem’s product lines across the Northeast region. The role will focus on maintaining existing accounts while seeking, prospecting, qualifying, and landing new business. The ideal candidate will be located within the Northeast region and will be an integral part of the Sales & Marketing team, contributing to the expansion of the product portfolio in targeted segments.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed budgeted sales plans within each business segment.
- Qualify prospects and develop new customer and new product sales through prospecting, cold calls, and follow-ups.
- Introduce PhibroChem and explain the value of the company’s products to potential customers.
- Develop and execute strategies to convert prospects into customers.
- Participate in company-sponsored trade shows.
- Maintain and grow existing accounts in the assigned territory across multiple industries.
- Plan and schedule sales calls to solicit orders, maintain relationships, and address inquiries or complaints.
- Maintain key technical contacts with customers and provide necessary support.
- Gain product knowledge to provide technical expertise.
- Collect data and maintain accurate account records through written reports.
- Develop market knowledge and report on territory trends, competitor intelligence, and business needs.
- Provide input for annual territorial objectives and monitor progress.
- Complete all reporting functions, including call reports, weekly/territory reports, and expense reports.
- Manage territory responsibilities, establish call patterns, and adjust sales tactics as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science, ideally in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, or a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrated sales skills.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients.
- Strong negotiation, project management, and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle client complaints professionally and with a calm demeanor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and office equipment.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
