Griswold Care for the Greater Twin Cities is looking to hire a part-time Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to help senior clients maintain their dignity and independence by providing non-medical care and home companionship.

Pay

$19.00–$22.00 per hour

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation
  • Current valid driver’s license
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Willing to travel up to 25 miles
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • 2+ years of home care experience (a plus; caring for a loved one counts)
  • Commitment to providing compassionate elderly care
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Dependable and cheerful demeanor

Responsibilities

  • Provide meaningful companionship and caregiving assistance to senior clients in their homes
  • Arrive punctually and greet clients with a cheerful attitude
  • Assess and prioritize daily tasks efficiently
  • Prepare meals and assist with grocery shopping
  • Perform light housekeeping duties
  • Assist with non-medical elderly care tasks, such as feeding and bathing, while preserving client dignity
  • Maintain proper personal hygiene for clients in a gentle and professional manner
  • Provide care for clients with cognitive impairments or dementia using a patient demeanor
  • Ensure safety and continuity of care through proactive communication with the office
  • Log and submit accurate documentation, noting any changes to clients’ needs or conditions

Schedule

Flexible scheduling with opportunities for day and night shifts. Clients may require as little as 4 hours of care or up to 24-hour care. Hours are subject to change based on client needs, care plan adjustments, and staffing requirements.
