Inspire of McClelland provides comfort of home to independent elders, with leisurely access to delicious & nutritious meals, wellness & social activities, assistance with tasks of daily living, and medication assistance. They are seeking Personal Care Aides for immediate hire, looking for positive, dependable, caring individuals to join their team to meet the growing demand for quality care in the community.

Responsibilities

• Ability to communicate in a dignified, respectful manner.
• Relates well to residents, visitors and other staff members
• Emotional and physical stamina to be of service to the residents in their daily living skills
• Interest and participation in opportunities for personal academic growth
• Ability to practice self-control in speech, listening, body and facial mannerisms
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Assist residents with medication.
• Assist residents with grooming, showering, and other aspects of personal care.
• Update medication administration record as needed
• Ensure that resident receives all necessary documents prior to doctor appointments.
• Consult and correspond with doctor offices for any necessary clarifications
• Contact pharmacy for residents' prescription refills as needed and ensure escript copies are received.
• Record all pertinent information regarding residents in the twenty-four hour log book.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prefer prior experience with medication assistance.
• Prefer previous experience, either professional, personal or volunteer, with the elderly population.

Pay

$15 per hour
