Personal Care Aide / Home Health Aide, Certified, NY

Responsibilities

• Provides direct personal care and assistance to residents as needed.
• Observes resident for any change in condition and reports to the Supervisor-In-Charge (SIC).
• Affords assistance with maintaining a safe environment.
• Affords assistance with meal service and provides eating assistance as necessary.
• Affords assistance with all activities of daily living as needed (shaving, bathing, fingernail care, dressing, toileting, grooming, hair care, oral hygiene, etc.).
• Daily bed making and scheduled bed linen changes.
• Documents all services provided to ALP Residents as indicated on the Aide Activity Sheet before leaving shift.
• Affords assistance with planned activities and encourages residents to participate.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have the required references and criminal record check.
• Must have annual TB screening and Health Assessment completed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Qualifications

• Must be able to provide appropriate PCA / HHA certification as required by New York State.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of medication administration and safety protocols.

Pay

The pay range for this opportunity is $18.65-$18.95 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time position working the evening shift.
