Home Health Aide Certified

Full-time, all shifts available. Hiring range: $20.50 - $25.63 hourly. Location: 215 NJ Route 31, Flemington, NJ.

About the role

This position provides patient care to clients in their homes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Duties include personal care and homemaking services essential to the patient’s health care and comfort at home. Supports the Mission, Philosophy, and objectives of Hunterdon Hospice.

Responsibilities

• Follows individualized plan of care as established by the RN.
• Provides personal care and homemaking services to patients within the CHHA scope of practice, including shopping, laundry, meal planning, preparation, serving (Rx diet), and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mouth care, hair care, feeding, mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Documents care provided.
• Reports unusual circumstances or incidents to the RN.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a NJ Board of Nursing-approved 76-hour training and competency program.
• Current New Jersey Certificate from the Board of Nursing as a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA).
• Current Driver’s license.
• Must pass annual clinical competency-based program and mandated 12-hour in-service education.
• Skills determined by direct supervision of a Registered Nurse/Supervisor and participation in 12-hour in-service education. If attending education through another source, must provide written evidence/documentation of attendance, hours, and content.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 1 year of CHHA experience.
• Preferred: CPR Certification.
