About the role

The Personal Banker I position at Fifth Third Bank is dedicated to providing exceptional customer experiences by building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with both existing and prospective customers. This role involves processing teller transactions and working as part of the platform staff, offering solutions that cover the entire customer lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in a designated book of business through proactive outreach efforts in person, over the phone, or other channels as appropriate.
• Utilize a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs, then tailor recommendations, solutions, and advice.
• Maintain a working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered.
• Collaborate with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and all problems are resolved.
• Analyze customer credit data and other related financial information to ensure customers are in the appropriate solutions that align with their needs.
• Provide customer support needed, reinforcing the value of current and new technologies.
• Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED, along with 6 months of customer service experience, or a college degree or equivalent military experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships.
• Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrated business acumen.
• Ability to make sound decisions.

Qualifications

• SAFE Act registration required at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in using bank systems and software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

Total Base Pay Range: $43,680.00 - $69,900.00 USD Annually
