Personal Assistant- RDANCL

About the role

We are looking for a kind, reliable, and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support our daughter Ruby, a friendly and creative 16-year-old who attends sixth form full-time. Ruby loves singing, dancing, and music (especially David Bowie and songs from Sing!). She enjoys swimming, bowling, horse riding, arts and crafts, and being out and about in the community. She has Down syndrome with regression and would benefit from a supportive PA to help her build confidence, develop skills, and enjoy the activities she loves.

Responsibilities

• Support Ruby to take part in activities she enjoys
• Assist with swimming safely
• Attend singing and dancing groups
• Support community outings such as shopping, cinema trips, bowling, or eating out
• Assist with arts and crafts
• Help build confidence, independence, and skills
• Support Ruby to make choices and have control over her activities
• Provide emotional reassurance when needed
• Work closely with the family to deliver consistent, person-centred support
• Provide minimal personal care, including occasional encouragement to use the toilet and support with sanitary products, always provided respectfully and with dignity

Requirements

• Driving licence essential
• Access to a car with correct insurance

At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
