Personal Assistant – LHNCL

About the role
The purpose of the role is to provide support to Layland accessing the community. He visits many groups such as soft play and trampoline parks. During these visits, the support will be to ensure he is always safe by providing constant supervision. When outside the family home, a 2:1 support ratio is in place to ensure Layland’s wellbeing and to help him communicate his needs effectively.
About the individual
Layland is a 10-year-old boy with lots of energy who loves music, singing, messy play, and sensory play. He is a happy and outgoing individual who enjoys being outside in the fresh air. Layland has a diagnosis of Autism, learning delay, and Pica. He uses single words to communicate with others and has a positive behaviour plan in place to support his needs. Layland has minimal understanding of dangers and requires constant support to ensure his safety.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Layland has a supportive environment to allow him to access groups safely.
- Ensure Layland is safe and following his personal behaviour plan.
Schedule
Term time: 3:30 onwards, weekdays Monday – Friday. Additional hours during school holidays with various contracted hours.
Pay
£15.00 per hour
