Personal Assistant – BHONCL
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Hours of work: 5 hours per week. Rate of pay: £12.71 per hour.

About The Young Person Requiring Support
I’m looking for a Personal Assistant to support Baley, my 17-year-old son who is full of energy, laughter, and a love for life. Baley enjoys trampolining, swimming, visiting the park, and going to fun fairs and arcades. Baley has a fantastic sense of humour, loves joking around, and enjoys being a grown up. At home, Baley enjoys playing football and darts and spending time on the computer or watching YouTube.
- Requires one-to-one support at all times due to a lack of road awareness.
- Needs personal care assistance when using the toilet.
- Has hypermobility, prefers to walk but has a limp, and can tire when walking long distances.
- Communication is limited, and Baley uses Makaton to express his needs and wants.
- Eats a normal diet, but food needs to be cut up.
- Loves walking the family dog, so it would be great if the PA enjoys this too.
The ideal PA will have experience working with disabled children and should have a happy, bubbly personality that matches Baley’s fun-loving nature. Most importantly, I’m looking for someone who can provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where Baley can continue to thrive.
