About the Role

This role directs and coordinates activities of store operations in the absence of the Store Director, Assistant Store Director, or other management to ensure optimum efficiency and economy. The position ensures that all department associates' work shifts contribute to the financial best interest of the store.

Responsibilities

• Monitor associates' adherence to company policies.
• Operate cashier register and courtesy counter desk, handling customer concerns efficiently.
• Understand and be familiar with store layout, including the location of safety and emergency equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas, providing feedback to department managers.
• In the absence of the Store Director or specified department manager, maintain the time clock.
• Close the store when required: lock all doors (including receiving), turn off lights, and arm the store.
• Assist customers by knowing product locations in the store.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked store.
• Follow all PPE, safety, food safety, cleaning, and guest experience guidelines.
• Perform tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma (preferred).
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Suggestive selling and product knowledge.
• Detail-oriented.
