Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Verify daily receipts to revenue; make appropriate entries and postings into spreadsheets and databases.
- Record customer escrow deposits, credits and debits into appropriate databases and spreadsheets.
- Prepare reports for NSF accounts; contact customers for collection.
- Prepare warrant requests, credit memos, journal vouchers and requisitions.
- Establish and initiate customer accounts and issue PIN numbers; monitor customer account activity.
- Prepare and distribute monthly revenue and expense reports, and monthly statements to customers.
- Prepare purchase orders for equipment and supplies.
- Provide clerical support to administrative managers.
- Sort, file and return receipts to customer after processing.
- Record customer purchases using cash register; audit and balance register cash drawer.
Requirements
- One of the following:
- Three or more years of general office clerical experience using computerized systems.
- Completion of an office clerical or business/technical school or university program plus at least two years of office clerical experience that included using computerized systems.
- An approved combination of education and experience.
- Experience performing financial recordkeeping.
- Experience performing data entry, and in using and updating databases.
- Advanced skill in working with Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel, and with Lotus Notes.
- Knowledge of the Hennepin County FARS system, and the ability to utilize system applications in performing duties.
- Ability to understand and apply financial recordkeeping procedures.
- Ability to provide quality customer service and to deal with the general public and staff members with tact and discretion.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions, guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to deal with client complaints and protected information in a tactful and confidential manner.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm movements that include lifting your arm above your head and lowering your arm down below your waist.
