Permit Coordinator
About the role
The Permitting Coordinator is responsible for obtaining and tracking permits required for fiber and telecommunications construction projects. This role coordinates with municipalities, utility companies, engineering teams, and contractors to ensure all permits are submitted, approved, and maintained in compliance with local regulations while supporting project timelines and deployment goals.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with municipalities, utility companies, engineering teams, and contractors to obtain and track permits.
- Support project timelines and deployment goals by ensuring all permits are submitted, approved, and maintained in compliance with local regulations.
- Work closely with GIS mapping systems, permit tracking databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and engineering documents.
- Build relationships with municipalities, utilities, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2+ years of permitting, telecommunications, utility, or construction coordination experience preferred.
- Knowledge of fiber optic, OSP, FTTH, and broadband deployment projects.
- Familiarity with municipal, county, state, and DOT permitting processes.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
