Perioperative Inventory Specialist 1 - Supply & Distribution - Full Time

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Assist in the maintenance of accurate inventory records for perioperative supplies, including implants, instruments, and consumables.
• Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and perioperative staff to ensure timely replenishment of supplies while minimizing excess stock and associated costs.
• Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in inventory management practices.
• Documentation: Maintain documentation related to inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
• Inventory Audits: Participate in regular inventory audits to verify stock levels, reconcile discrepancies, and identify potential issues requiring corrective action.
• Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
• Process Improvement: Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness in perioperative inventory management.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, usage rates, and other relevant metrics to inform decision-making and performance evaluation.
• Training and Education: Provide training and support to perioperative staff on proper inventory management procedures, including use of inventory management systems and adherence to inventory control policies.

Qualifications

• High School Grade or Equivalent.
• Prior experience in inventory management, preferably in a healthcare or perioperative setting.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management software/systems is desirable.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to inventory management in healthcare settings.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and environments.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.27-$28.50/hr. based on experience.
