About the role

Distill botanical essential oils and absolutes and blend bespoke fragrances for a niche perfume house. The work involves steam-distilling and enfleuraging raw materials, then composing accords on the organ from top, heart, and base notes. This role combines lab precision, careful batch records, and a refined olfactory memory across hundreds of materials.

Responsibilities

• Distill botanical essential oils and absolutes using steam-distillation and enfleurage techniques.
• Blend bespoke fragrances by composing accords from top, heart, and base notes.
• Maintain precise lab records and batch documentation.
• Develop and refine olfactory memory across a wide range of materials.
• Exercise patience through long maceration periods.

Requirements

• Formulation experience in fragrance or perfume creation.
• A trained nose with the ability to distinguish and evaluate olfactory nuances.
• Patience and attention to detail for processes requiring extended time, such as maceration.
