Position Summary

The Performing Arts Facilities Coordinator supports and advances the Edina Public Schools' mission, vision, and core values by coordinating and supervising the operations, marketing, and technical needs and schedules of the Edina Public Schools Auditoriums. This role provides technical support for auditorium users to maximize the use of the space and ensures the safety and proper maintenance of all equipment. Additionally, the coordinator serves as the district liaison to the city of Edina for elections in district buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees the operations and use of the school auditoriums and provides technical direction and support for school events and community rentals.
  • Selects, trains, and supervises students working as theater technicians during school events.
  • Manages a marketing and general maintenance budget for school auditoriums and purchases necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Serves as the district liaison to the city of Edina for elections in district buildings.

Education, Experience And Certification Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of two (2) years of post-secondary training in theater management, theater arts, or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience, a bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education / experience necessary to perform the requirements of the position.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification within six (6) months of hire.
  • Valid Minnesota driver's license and evidence of mobility.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $75,727 - $88,933
  • The salary for this position depends on experience and qualifications. New hires will typically start at the entry-level rate within the salary range, while candidates with relevant experience may be placed at a higher starting rate, up to the maximum of the salary range.
