Performance Development Leader
About the role
The Performance Development Leader will support the Utilities Mill team at Georgia-Pacific's Naheola Paper Manufacturing site in Pennington, AL. Reporting to the Utilities Production Leader, this role will lead 25+ Utilities Operators in the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Power, Steam, and Water production processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Performance, Skills, and Qualifications capability
- Address performance gaps for Team Leaders and Operators against individual capability and performance measurements
- Lead and foster an environment that develops principled business owners
- Ensure individual roles, responsibilities, and expectations are aligned with department, mill, and organizational goals
- Hold team and individuals accountable for operating strategies and results
- Develop processes and systems that promote the transfer of knowledge to all team members
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and other salaried leaders to identify and address performance gaps
Requirements
- Two (2) or more years of experience directly leading others to support and improve performance gaps against individual capabilities
- Experience working in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, military, or related environment
- Ability to work extended hours, serve on a weekend duty team, and work/lead shifts if required
Qualifications
- Understanding of the DuPont schedule
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Kronos and Microsoft Office Suites
Skills
- Experience training employees in heavy industrial, manufacturing, military, or related environments
- Experience working in a union manufacturing environment
