About the role
The Driven Collision Performance Coach role is within the Automotive Training Institute (ATI) group at Driven Brands, a leading provider of coaching and training for independent repair shops in the US and Canada. This position focuses on analyzing the practices of a member's collision shop and recommending improvements based on ATI's best practices and techniques.
Responsibilities
- Listen to and understand the needs of shop owners to help them transform their shop into a profitable and efficient business.
- Communicate with shop owners via phone, Zoom, and email to discuss areas for improvement or correction.
- Review financial statements, evaluate competitors, and analyze business practices.
- Develop new business models or prepare recommendations and present them to the client.
- Display a professional yet assertive and results-oriented approach with strong mentoring skills and a passion for helping shop owners achieve their business goals.
- Consult, train, mentor, and coach clients to help them reach their business goals and dreams.
- Guide clients through the building blocks that create the foundation of a profitable business.
- Maintain customer satisfaction (CSI Scores) and ensure class attendance by the client and staff.
- Monitor the status of the member's progress in the program and determine how to best align the member's needs with their wants.
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years overall automotive experience with a strong focus on collision damage analysis writing, shop management, operations management, or previous shop ownership, preferably in the independent, non-dealership arena.
- Operations management experience (preferably with an independent operation) involving established internal structure and processes.
- Solid automotive business acumen/understanding.
- Ability to influence others over the telephone and videoconferencing.
- Minimum 4+ years of teaching, instructing, and mentoring small business owners or employees, with a clear understanding of the challenges facing independent shop owners.
- Track record of consultative management, people development, and business management.
- Prior experience and success working in an organization that provides monthly goals.
- Computer proficiency, particularly in Word and Excel; Knowledge of Salesforce CRM, plus Sales abilities, is strongly preferred.
- Accounting or P&L experience.
- Marketing and online/social media experience.
- Writing skills with an interest in writing articles for industry magazines, a plus.
- Solid understanding of how to recruit and retain high-quality employees at all levels of experience.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills, as well as the ability to convince business owners to make major changes and paradigm shifts in their practices.

Pay
$62,200.00 - $111,100.00 annually, with potential for additional compensation based on performance and location.

This role is remote and requires flexibility to meet the needs of the clients and the program schedule.
