About the Role
As a Performance Capability Lead - Distributor, you will develop onboarding and training programs for the top 10% of distributors in person, with the remainder via broad-based digital rollout. You will also conduct in-market audits of curriculum and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive adoption and improvement, train teams on core tools and resources, and reinforce coaching against SOPs.
Location: Remote with up to 50% travel (must live in one of the states listed in the job posting).
Responsibilities
- Align with Division Vice Presidents (DVPs) to prioritize capabilities for distributors.
- Lead monthly "Skill Pill" training to develop capabilities and educate distributor field teams to drive results.
- Design and deliver training, tools, and resources that drive growth of Sazerac’s brands and business within the distributor network.
- Develop onboarding and training for the top 10% of distributors in person; roll out the remainder digitally.
- Align training with strategic initiatives and collaborate with divisions to customize and ensure state-specific relevancy.
- Create partnerships with the Learning & Development functions of distributor partners.
- Complete in-market audits of curriculum and SOPs to drive adoption and improvement.
- Manage and measure the effectiveness of training, tools, and resources to ensure return on investment.
- Collaborate with sales leaders to develop KPIs for distributor teams and train against them.
- Coach teams in-market to achieve KPIs and develop trainees to drive results.
- Track and report key milestones in training using relevant systems to document results.
- Manage a KPI measuring system to capture critical metrics and deliverables for the sales team within assigned territories (e.g., monitoring targeted retail accounts using Idig and COGNOS).
- Measure each distributor trainee’s progress through onboarding and training programs.
- Partner with distributor leaders and the ABA Lead to create alignment, report on training completion, and share impact and results.
- Complete in-market work-withs to embed training, observe, and measure results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in process design, implementation, and improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the alcohol beverage industry or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
- Change management experience.
- 1 year of experience training in a sales and marketing environment.
- 3 years of experience in training, coaching, and curriculum development.

Pay
The annual salary range for this role is $86,534 - $129,800. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal pay equity considerations. Roles within the Commercial and Sales team may be eligible for additional compensation (e.g., car allowance, annual bonus, fuel or cell phone reimbursement).
