Company Description

Kalos is a high-growth, ~$5M ARR startup redefining personal training through DEXA technology and data-driven rigor. Based in the US with a team of 20, Kalos builds precision, evidence-based programs for high-performing professionals, including startup founders and executives, who demand measurable results in strength and body composition.

About the role

As a Performance Analyst at Kalos, you will bridge the gap between data science and physical coaching. You'll interpret DEXA scan results to design individualized, A/B-style training experiments and coach high-performing members toward quantifiable improvements. This hybrid role requires deep analytical thinking, athletic credibility, and the ability to manage premium client relationships in a results-oriented environment.

Why this role is remarkable

  • Join a fast-growing startup with ~$5M ARR that is disrupting the fitness industry by applying professional-grade analytical rigor to personal training.
  • Work directly with a high-caliber member base of founders and executives who value discipline, data-backed methodologies, and elite performance.
  • Access a clear career trajectory where top performers have historically transitioned into Senior Coach or General Manager roles within months of joining.

What you will do

  • Analyze DEXA scan data and health metrics to architect evidence-based training programs focused on body recomposition and peak performance.
  • Conduct high-touch one-on-one coaching sessions, both in-person and virtually, to drive measurable outcomes in strength and physical health.
  • Collaborate with internal subject-matter experts to refine training methodologies and manage consistent, professional relationships with a demanding client base.

Qualifications

  • Possesses 2-3 years of experience in a high-pressure environment like consulting (e.g., McKinsey, Deloitte), tech sales, or operations, combined with elite athletic experience.
  • Demonstrates strong quantitative ability, feeling as comfortable interpreting complex numerical data and percentages as they are coaching a heavy deadlift.
  • Exhibits a deep passion for quantified-self technologies, including VO₂ max testing, glucose monitoring, and AI-driven health tools, ideally backed by a selective university degree.
