About the Role
The Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) in Medical Imaging provides direct patient care during imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and education. They assist physicians and technologists with a variety of procedures, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Radiography, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and Card Lab. The role includes performing supportive clinical skills such as IV therapy, respiratory care, and medical emergency response.
Responsibilities
- Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe environment by managing equipment and supplies.
- Accurately document patient information and uphold patient rights.
- Collaborate with team members, including physicians and technologists, to support imaging procedures.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active RN licensure.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency with medical equipment used in imaging procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Imaging-specific certifications (e.g., related to CT, MRI, or other modalities).
