Vinfen is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based services to individuals with various needs. Founded in 1977, Vinfen aims to promote recovery, resiliency, habilitation, and self-determination for the people they serve.
Responsibilities
- Aid in developing, implementing, and documenting individual treatment support plans.
- Assist with daily tasks such as (re)habilitative interventions, behavioral interventions, monitoring, scheduling appointments, and providing transportation.
- Model appropriate behavior and support individuals in enhancing their independence and quality of life.
- Assess physical and emotional status and report changes to supervisors.
- Maintain program site safety and cleanliness.
- Perform crisis intervention as needed.
- Provide relief pool coordinator or HR staff with current contact information.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- One to three months experience in a human services setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driver’s screening background check.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, and assist with tasks of daily living.
- Ability to speak, hear, and communicate effectively with clients, staff, and external representatives.
Qualifications
- First Aid certification within two weeks of hire.
- CPR certification within two weeks of hire.
- MAP certification within 150 days of hire.
- Safety Care certification within 90 days of hire.
