Pay

The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $74.27 per hour for work in New Jersey. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Schedule

• Per Diem
• 2 – 12.5 hour shifts per month, both shifts on weekend
• 1 – 12.5 hour Summer Holiday (Easter, July 4th, Labor Day)
• 1 – 12.5 hour Winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)

Responsibilities

• Organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care
• Supports the philosophy, objectives, mission, and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing
• Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements, and other regulatory agencies
• Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning
• Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• At least 2 years of experience in Med/Surg Pulmonary Nursing
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Qualifications

• Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
