Per Diem - Medical Pulmonary Nurse

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Pulmonary Unit Location: Arlington Heights, IL Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive patient assessments, collect health data, and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers.Coordinate and implement patient care plans to ensure interventions are safe, appropriate, and timely.Communicate effectively in person, via phone, and in writing to ensure clear information exchange.Individualize patient and family education based on assessment to meet their specific needs.Participate in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice effectiveness.Maintain current knowledge of nursing standards, laws, and regulations. Qualifications & Skills: Associate’s degree or BSN from an accredited nursing school.Current nursing license in Illinois.CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Additional Information: The role involves night shifts (7:00pm - 7:30am), with a per diem level requiring at least 48 hours every 6 weeks, including weekend hours if needed.
