Per Diem Psychiatric Registered Nurse

About the Role

Provide direct nursing care within the nursing process, offering clinical leadership and serving as a role model to promote a positive work environment and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and maintain a therapeutic environment.
• Collaborate on care plans and administer medications.
• Assist with tests and procedures and respond to emergencies.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care.
• Participate in orientation and training programs.
• Report safety concerns or errors promptly.
• Encourage patient participation in their care.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Graduate of a recognized nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active RN license in NM or reciprocal jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Strong clinical skills and a focus on patient safety.
• Ability to work with diverse age groups.
• Physical ability to perform heavy work and operate in potentially hazardous environments while wearing PPE.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual skills.
• Specialty certifications such as PALS, TNCC, or ENPC.
