About the role
Per Diem Patient Access Representative Associate supporting patient registration and intake processes.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and welcoming patients in person
- Collecting demographic, insurance, and financial information
- Completing paperwork and verifying insurance eligibility
- Assisting with appointment scheduling and directing patients
- Documenting issues and resolving registration or claim errors
- Explaining costs and financial assistance options to patients
- Screening and counseling patients for financial aid programs
- Providing customer service via inbound/outbound calls and mentoring staff as needed
Qualifications
- 6+ months customer service experience in healthcare or office setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and nights
- Must be 18 or older
Preferred Skills
- Revenue Cycle or general office experience
- Epic system knowledge
Physical demands
- Walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 10 lbs.
