About the role

The Occupational Therapist II position at UCI Health provides a full range of occupational therapy services including evaluation, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and discharge planning. Services are provided to patients in various settings including UCI Medical Center, affiliated hospitals, and clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients to determine their functional abilities and needs
  • Treatment planning and implementation of therapeutic interventions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Discharge planning and coordination of care
  • Assist patients in adapting to their environments and activities of daily living
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards

Requirements

  • Occupational Therapy License or proof of eligibility from California Board of Occupational Therapy
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a licensed occupational therapist
  • If assigned to work with infants and children aged 0 to 21, CCS paneling/approval will be required within one year of hire if qualified for CCS paneling requirement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to travel to clinics, and other campus offices as determined by patient and scheduling needs

Qualifications

Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, proficiency in computer software, and strong organizational skills are essential.
