Provide direct patient care, injury and illness management, medical surveillance, wellness initiatives, episodic convenience care, and assist with other occupational and environmental health services in an occupational setting. Coverage includes daytime, evening, and Saturday hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site treatment and management of injuries to minimize the need for off-site medical treatment.
- Deliver on-site care, first aid, and follow-up for occupationally injured or ill workers.
- Maintain ongoing communication with treating physicians regarding employee clinical status.
- Coordinate care with WorkCare’s Incident Intervention Injury Management Program and utilize Physician escalation services as needed.
- Provide episodic care for minor medical issues, medical consultation, and recommendations according to treatment care guidelines in collaboration with WorkCare Consulting Medical Director (CMD) and policy/procedures.
- Support injury prevention through education and ergonomic evaluation.
- Help employees prevent injuries and manage pain.
- Report to client and WorkCare management periodically.
- Contribute insight to incident reports and tracking of injury and clinic utilization data.
- Order and maintain supplies to ensure the clinic is appropriately stocked.
- Participate in the general flow of clinic operations.
- Provide doses of common pre-packaged over-the-counter (OTC) medicine to employees for episodic care at no cost, with follow-up care provided by the employee’s personal medical provider.
- Perform additional duties and assume additional responsibilities as identified by the manager for the efficient operation of WorkCare.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid ID RN license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- 3–5 years of RN experience required.
- 2–3 years’ experience in an urgent care, emergency department, or occupational health setting preferred.
- Certification in Occupational Health preferred.

Physical Demands
- Requires sitting for long periods, working at a desk.
- Some bending and stretching may be required.
- Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
- Manual dexterity required for computer keyboard and mouse.
- Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
- Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
- Moderate noise level.
- Good air quality and controlled temperature.
Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is $46 - $48 per hour. Final compensation depends on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
