About the role
A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides individualized nursing care under RN supervision.
Responsibilities
- Conduct basic patient assessments
- Participate in care planning, execute interventions, and evaluate outcomes
- Maintain clinical competency and ensure proper documentation
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality
- Perform immunizations, TB tests, and urine drug screens
- Provide health education to employees
- Maintain supplies and equipment
- Comply with safety protocols
- Act as a patient advocate
- Collaborate with healthcare team members
- Support department operations and promote patient safety
Requirements
- Graduate of an LVN program
- Active California LVN license
- BLS certification
Qualifications
- 2+ years of LVN experience (preferred)
- Outpatient experience (preferred)
- IV therapy/certification (preferred)
Skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Adherence to nursing practice standards
- Ability to work in a collaborative healthcare environment
