Occupational Health Nurse - Per Diem

Role: RN - Occupational Health, responsible for developing and evaluating individualized care plans, assessing patient health data, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Key Duties Provide patient assessments, collect health information, and update care plans to achieve expected outcomes.Educate patients and families tailored to their cultural background and learning needs, supporting self-management and disease understanding.Collaborate with healthcare team members, share knowledge, and delegate tasks appropriately.Assist with technical procedures such as injections, venipuncture, drug administration, and IV management.Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and stay current with wound/ostomy/skin care best practices.Monitor wound/ostomy treatment effectiveness and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.Provide psychological support and assist in transporting acutely ill patients when needed. Qualifications And Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and active Illinois RN license.Preferred experience in ICU, ER, radiology nursing, or wound/ostomy care.Required certifications: BLS and ACLS.Strong communication, assessment, and patient education skills.
